Job Description

We seek a seasoned Structural Engineer to join our team in Newcastle. This exciting opportunity involves leading multidisciplinary projects, collaborating with architects and engineers, and ensuring the successful delivery of iconic structures.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive structural designs for buildings, including inspections, assessments, and reporting.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers, building services, and civil engineers on complex projects.
  • Lead teams and oversee project management to guarantee successful outcomes.
  • Contribute to projects from conception to final design and construction surveillance.
Requirements:
  • A relevant university degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum 8-12 years' industry experience as a Structural Engineer, preferably in building design projects within a consulting environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of various building types and materials.
  • Desirable: Membership of Engineers Australia and progress towards CPEng and NER registration.
  • Familiarity with Australian Building Codes and Standards is essential.
  • Ability and willingness to mentor junior engineers.
