Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Assistant to join our team at Garnsey Campus. The ideal candidate will have experience working with senior students across year levels 7 - 12 who have diverse learning needs.
You will work closely with teachers to assist students in reaching their learning goals. As a team player, you will have a genuine love for working within a school environment, possess a patient and compassionate nature, and the ability to relate professionally to students.
Candidates holding a Certificate III or IV in Education Support, or a willingness to study towards this, will be preferred.
The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude and the ability to build rapport with students and staff. They will also be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
The role involves providing support to students with varying learning abilities and needs, including those with disabilities. You will work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement strategies to enhance student learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist students with various learning needs in a classroom setting.
- Work closely with teachers to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and teachers.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to students as needed.
