**Job Overview**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Procurement Policy Specialist.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic support to senior management, fostering strong relationships and communication to drive team effectiveness.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing high-level support to ensure the efficient functioning of the Procurement Policy team.
- Assisting in managing policies governing Civil Construction Procurement, ensuring compliance with probity, risk, and governance standards.
- Driving business improvements, managing projects, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
This role requires adaptability, strong problem-solving skills, and delivering meaningful outcomes in a changing environment.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
To be successful you will need to have:
- **Strategic Support & Relationship Building**: A proven track record of providing high-level support to senior management, fostering strong relationships and communication to drive team effectiveness.
- **Collaborative Problem-Solver**: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work across functions to address business challenges.
- **Results-Focused**: The ability to translate strategies into actionable performance targets, provide regular reporting, and manage resources and mitigate risks.
- **Reporting & Policy Development**: Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain procurement policies, ensure compliance with regulations, and deliver clear, concise reports and recommendations.
- **Project Coordinator**: Proven experience in managing directorate-specific projects, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to the development of governance frameworks and process improvements.
**Desirable Qualifications**
A Tertiary Qualification in a relevant discipline or having equivalent professional experience is highly regarded.
