As a leader in the field of internal audit, this opportunity exists to contribute your expertise and skills to a dynamic organization.

The role involves managing stakeholder relationships, representing the organization in various forums, and preparing engagement plans. You will also conduct field audits, supervise team members, and prepare auditing reports for stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Stakeholder Relationships: Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and representation of the organization's interests.
  • Prepare Engagement Plans: Develop comprehensive engagement plans that meet the organization's audit objectives and priorities.
  • Conduct Field Audits: Conduct thorough and objective field audits, identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations for enhanced processes.
  • Supervise Team Members: Lead and mentor team members in conducting interviews, presenting findings, and preparing audit reports.
  • Prepare Auditing Reports: Prepare clear and concise auditing reports that provide actionable insights and recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Liaise with Stakeholders: Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders on audit matters, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of issues.

Requirements:

  • Professional Membership: Hold full professional membership with a recognized internal audit body (e.g., IIA, CA, CPA).
  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrate 10+ years' experience in internal audit, including supervisory experience.
  • Desirable Qualification: Possess previous work experience in government (local, state or federal).
