Job Title: Principal Water Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Water Engineering Specialist to join our national water team, based in any Australian office. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in water and wastewater design, including conveyance pipelines, hydraulic structures, pump stations, service reservoirs, and water facilities.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of industry standards and best practices, as well as excellent technical and communication skills. They will be able to lead and mentor teams to deliver successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage water and wastewater design projects from conceptualization to delivery.
  • Develop and implement effective solutions to meet client needs.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on technical matters.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

About You:

You will be a Chartered Professional Engineer with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field. You will have at least 5 years of experience in water and wastewater design, preferably in a senior role.

You will also have:

  • Expertise in civil engineering aspects such as study involvement, budgeting, scheduling, scope development, detailed design, analysis, construction/commissioning support, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
  • Experience in scoping and developing engineering work packages, including time estimates for deliverables.
  • An ability to understand client needs and develop solutions that meet their expectations.
