About the Role:

This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting the Buying team and various categories. As a Category Buyer Assistant, you will be responsible for managing products, maintaining data accuracy, and assisting with the end-to-end marketing process.

  • You will play a crucial role in product management and maintenance, including updating databases, managing samples, registering products, and developing range books.

  • The job holder is also accountable for ensuring products are accurately registered, priced, and advertised.

  • They will engage with stakeholders to coordinate the flow of product information from suppliers to stores and customers.

  • You will ensure all data entry, including item registration, pricing, and promotional data, are accurate and up-to-date.

  • You will collaborate with Myer buying teams and stakeholders to ensure business processes and master data are processed accurately to meet customer needs.

  • The job holder will also support system and administration-related functions.

  • You will assist in preparing weekly trade reports, ensuring documents are completed, collated, printed, and ready for review.

  • You will be accountable for coordinating online product ranging, including registration, imagery, supplier communications, pricing, and copy.

  • The job holder will also support the Supplier Rebate process and be accountable for supplier communication, collection, and submission to internal finance.

  • You will support the end-to-end marketing process by completing key tasks, including loading promotions, creating tickets for stores, and ensuring products are photographed and ready for online sales.

Requirements:

  • Experience in Retail or Customer Service is preferred.

  • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail are essential.

  • Tertiary education in fashion, marketing, business, or commerce is desirable but not required.

  • Strong customer focus and professional approach are required.

  • Good planning and time management skills are necessary.

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required.

  • Confident use of software programs is essential.

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders is crucial.

  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment is required.

  • A team player with a 'can-do' attitude is necessary.
