Excavation Specialist

Mission: Conduct high-quality subsurface excavation using hydromill machinery while ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project requirements.

  • Efficiently set up and operate assigned equipment to minimize wear and downtime, thereby enhancing overall productivity.
  • Ensure that technical specifications and project requirements are meticulously met.
  • Risk assessment and mitigation associated with equipment use in the workplace are essential responsibilities.
  • Immediate reporting of any quality, health, safety, and environment (QHSE) breaches to the line manager is mandatory.
  • Guarantee safe operation and optimal productivity of the rig.
  • Compile daily reports on rig productivity, providing valuable insights for improvement.
  • Responsibly manage maintenance of all assigned equipment, ensuring timely upkeep and minimizing downtime.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisor or project management.
Essential Skills:
  • Familiarity with on-board instrumentations, including depth measurements and deviations.
  • Knowledge of method statements and project quality standards.
  • Able to evaluate drilling mud quality and request corrections when necessary.
  • Ability to execute equipment setup and placement effectively.
  • Skilled at balancing excavation speed and quality.
  • Capable of selecting appropriate pressure, thrust, torque, and milling wheel settings.
  • Proficient in controlling verticality of excavation and taking corrective action when required.
  • Experienced in performing routine maintenance and updating maintenance registers.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in hydromill operation is mandatory.
  • Australia work authorization is a compulsory requirement.
