Mission

To perform hydromill excavation of subsurface strata by means of complex, purposefully fitted, machinery, ensuring the required quality standards in compliance with Company's safety procedures and project requirements.

Main responsibilities

1. Setting up and operating the equipment assigned efficiently in order to limit wear and downtimes, ensuring the productivity required

2. Ensuring the compliance with technical specifications and requirements of the project

3. Assessing and reducing risks linked to the use of equipment in the workplace

4. Informing the line manager of any breach concerning QHSE

5. Ensuring the safe operation and the productivity of the rig

6. Drawing up daily reports on the productivity of the rig

7. Managing and carrying out the maintenance of all the equipment assigned

8. Performing additional assignments per supervisor's and/or project management's

direction

9. Complying with and promoting the Code of Ethics, procedures and safety standards, in compliance with current legislation

Main Hard Skills

1. Familiarity with the operations of the on-board instrumentations (e.g., comparison

between direct depth measurements, deviations, etc.)

2. Knowledge of Method Statement and project quality standards; filling QC reports

3. Ability to evaluate the quality of drilling muds, requesting corrections if and when

necessary

4. Ability to execute equipment setup and placement (planimetric, orientation, stability, use of crane mats or steel plates on unstable/uneven surfaces)

5. Ability to balance excavation speed and quality (reduced chance of deviations and/or getting stuck in the trench)

6. Ability to select appropriate pressure, thrust, torque, milling wheels rotational speed and downward speed

7. Ability to control verticality of excavation and select corrective actions if and when

necessary

8. Ability to perform ordinary maintenance of the (assigned) equipment, including updating maintenance register

**Salary**: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
