Accounts Payable Manager

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead and manage our accounts payable function. The successful candidate will have extensive leadership skills and experience managing workflow in a high-volume accounts payable environment.

Job Description:

The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, managing vendor relationships, and optimising payment processes. This includes:

  • Overseeing the accurate and timely processing and payment of invoices
  • Ensuring compliance with internal procedures to mitigate financial risks and improve performance
  • Providing leadership, coaching, and development to the Accounts Payable team
  • Maintaining positive relationships with vendors, addressing inquiries, resolving payment discrepancies, and negotiating favourable payment terms and conditions
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to streamline vendor onboarding processes

Key Responsibilities:

The ideal applicant will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Key qualifications include:

  • Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience in accounts payable or related financial roles, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, regulatory compliance
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems; Basware experience preferred
