You will manage complex/sensitive/high-risk financial lines claims from start to finish, ensuring timely and cost-effective resolutions.

As a senior member of the team, you'll provide expert technical advice and guidance to junior colleagues, enhancing their skills and contributing to excellent commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage multiple financial lines claims portfolios end-to-end.
  • Provide specialist technical advice on policy coverage, liability, quantum, strategy, and reserving.
  • Maintain accurate claim reserves according to industry guidelines and practices.
  • Offer feedback to underwriters and claims managers on issues identified during claims management.
  • Develop and maintain industry knowledge to stay up-to-date with market trends.
  • Contribute to the development of the team's market profile through exceptional claims service.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-4 years' experience in Financial Lines/Professional Indemnity Claims.
  • Prior experience mentoring junior claims staff in technical claims roles.
  • Tertiary qualifications in law, business, or insurance (such as Diploma in Financial Services General Insurance) are highly regarded.
