About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Property Analyst to join our team at CommBank. As a key member of our Relationship Management team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Relationship Executive through value-added solutions.

Your primary responsibility will be to research, analyse and develop a comprehensive database of client/industry-specific information, ideas and solutions. This will involve undertaking financial modelling and analysis, assessing the risks/opportunities on new lending, and evaluating the risks associated with increased client credit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Structure and articulate the credit merits of a transaction, identifying and mitigating key risks
  • Write, negotiate and manage credit applications for new and existing clients, undertaking due diligence, financial modelling and risk analysis
  • Manage portfolio data quality, compliance and daily reporting requirements
  • Undertake detailed analysis of client and industry-specific information to effectively meet client needs
  • Identify, research and compile information on new-to-bank prospects
  • Complete credit submissions and annual reviews to ensure timely delivery of decisions, documentation and funding to clients
  • Prepare pitch packs, complex papers and discussion white papers for new and existing clients
  • Proactively manage the portfolio pipeline and financial reporting
  • Focus on quality, credit management, portfolio monitoring, total revenue growth and minimising credit and operational losses
  • Assist the Relationship Executive in understanding client business and needs, linking this with the formulation of the client relationship strategy through research and analysis of portfolio and market data
Requirements
  • Strong Excel skills and experience in performing financial modelling
  • Ability to function independently and as part of a team
  • Highly developed research and financial analysis skills
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience in understanding operational drivers of a business and their relation to financial drivers
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex transactions and analyse benefits of specific client circumstances
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to build and maintain strong relationships, along with excellent planning and organisation skills
  • Business/Commerce or related degree (Accounting/Finance/Statistics Major desirable) or relevant experience in this area
