About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team for a key project. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that all procurement activities are carried out efficiently and effectively.

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for defining vendor lists, preparing request for proposals, managing commercial and contractual negotiation activities with identified vendors, performing cost analysis and assessment of offers, and managing supplier relations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the Material & Equipment Manager in defining the procurement strategy
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Perform thorough analysis of offers, including technical and financial evaluation
  • Manage the procurement process from start to finish, including tendering, contracting, and delivery
  • Work closely with department heads to identify timelines required for procurement of goods and services
  • Expedite deliveries with suppliers as necessary
  • Evaluate deliverables against project deadlines

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years' experience working in a similar role within the construction industry
  • Experience working on large-scale construction projects or other relevant projects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Solid understanding of local and international import/export legislation
  • Fluent English mandatory; additional language skills advantageous
  • A strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail
