Job Opportunity

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing X-ray and trace detection equipment using hand and power tools.

This role requires face-to-face customer interaction and a high level of team orientation. You will be expected to troubleshoot, service, and repair X-ray and trace detection equipment, perform preventative maintenance tasks according to service contracts and schedules, and respond to equipment faults and other corrective maintenance requirements according to service contracts and key performance indicators.

You will also be responsible for testing components and circuitry of X-ray equipment using a multimeter, computer/laptop, and the inbuilt equipment-software, diagnosing root cause of mechanical, electrical, and electronics related equipment faults (involving 24 volts or less), replacing belts, rollers, motors, and other mechanical components within X-ray equipment, and opening machines to inspect, vacuum, clean, de-grease, repair, and replace internal parts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot, service, and repair X-ray and trace detection equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks according to service contracts and schedules.
  • Respond to equipment faults and other corrective maintenance requirements according to service contracts and key performance indicators.
  • Test components and circuitry of X-ray equipment using a multimeter, computer/laptop, and the inbuilt equipment-software.
  • Diagnose root cause of mechanical, electrical, and electronics related equipment faults (involving 24 volts or less).
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate 3 Trade Qualification or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic/IT, a Provisional or Unrestricted Driver's License, and basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Indicative experience is 3+ years.
