**Job Opportunity: Team Leader Content & Discovery**
Georges River Council is seeking an experienced and passionate professional to lead the development of content and discovery initiatives in our libraries.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging collections and services that meet the educational and recreational needs of the community, while promoting a culture of innovation and excellence within the library team.
This role offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our customers and contribute to the growth and development of our libraries. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, adaptable, and able to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve common goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver targeted collections and services that support the diverse needs of the community.
- Lead the library team in the development of content and discovery initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and strategic plans.
- Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to identify opportunities for service improvement and implement changes that enhance customer experience.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on collection development strategies, content management systems, and technology tools.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Library Science or equivalent.
- At least 3 years' experience in a leadership role within a public library or equivalent setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in collection development, including evaluation of performance metrics and supplier relationships.
- Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to negotiate and build consensus.
