Home Support Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Home Support Assistant to provide cleaning services and domestic assistance to our elderly clients living in their own homes. This role will enable them to live safely and independently while improving their quality of life.

This position is an excellent introduction into community care and can serve as a stepping stone into further roles, including Community Support Worker. You will work closely with our clients, providing personalized support and maintaining their comfort and dignity.

The ideal candidate will be able to work every Monday to Friday between 9am-2pm, with preference given to those who live close to our clients. A reliable vehicle is also essential for this role.

As a Home Support Assistant, you will:

  • Provide personal care and domestic support to our elderly clients in their own homes
  • Assist with daily tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of our clients at all times
  • Work effectively under pressure, problem solve, and meet deadlines
  • Communicate professionally and compassionately with diverse individuals in various environments

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of hygienic cleaning practices and chemicals
  • Good level of fitness and ability to undertake general domestic tasks safely using safe manual handling practices
  • Dedicated work ethic and strong commitment to delivering high-quality support services
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse people in various settings
  • Customer-focused approach with ability to work independently in the community
  • Previous experience in aged care or cleaning services (desirable)
  • Current valid driver's licence to drive in Western Australia
  • Satisfactory National Police Certificate obtained within the last 12 months
