We are currently seeking a dedicated Domestic Assistant to jointhe team providing support services at Bethanie Beachside Aged CareHome located in Yanchep. Co-located with a retirement village,Bethanie Beachside is one of our larger sites with 160 beds andprovides specialised high level acuity, dementia and palliativecare.

To be successful in this role, you will have experience incleaning ideally in an aged care, hospital or similar environment,and be of a friendly nature, as interaction with our residents iscore to our culture.

Successful applicants will form part of our casual pool whoprovide relief across morning shifts (either 7am - 1 pm or 2.30pm),including on weekends and public holidays. You may also have theopportunity to be trained in and work across the roles of KitchenHand and Laundry Assistant.

About You

  • Previous experience working as a Domestic Assistant /Cleaner, ideally in an aged care, hospital or similarenvironment
  • Have a 'can do' attitude and a genuinecompassion for our residents
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of ateam
  • Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of TheBethanie Group
  • Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness toapply for one)

The Role

  • Ensuring bathrooms, toilets, furniture, fittings, floorsand communal areas are kept clean and tidy
  • Ensuring supplies are stocked across the facility
  • Liaising with other employees to ensure the needs of ourresidents are met
  • Ensuring residents' personal clothing is individuallylabelled and put away in their rooms, identifying items thatrequire mending
