We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Research Lead to join our leadership team in Tesserent RAD. As a key member, you will collaborate closely with senior partners and project managers to ensure timely delivery of client projects, maintaining the highest standards within our team.

This role offers a unique opportunity to build and lead a team of researchers and security engineers, manage client relationships, and contribute to the team's continuous growth and development. Australian Government security clearance may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the security research team, shaping its approach to vulnerability research while ensuring flexible arrangements.
  • Identify targeted research areas based on commercial and strategic needs.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of our research practices.
  • Establish and expand a team of skilled vulnerability research and security engineers.
  • Maintain supporting documentation and procedures for projects.
  • Foster collaboration with internal teams to optimize research efficiency and professionalism.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently, demonstrating self-reliance and initiative in delivering high-quality security solutions.
  • A solid understanding of cyber security principles and practices.

  • Contemporary knowledge of cyber security trends and threats.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • Relevant work experience in research, particularly with government-funded initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and client engagement.
  • Experience managing local and/or remote staff.
  • Aptitude and genuine interest in leadership and people management.
