About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Airfield Interface Manager to join our Aviation Services department at Melbourne Airport. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering business improvements across all Aviation Operations facilities projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the delivery of efficient and effective Airfield Operations/Capital Project interfaces from design to delivery and go-live.
  • Ensure stakeholder engagement and sign-offs, meeting cost-effective operational requirements with cost-effective solutions.
  • Develop and deliver business improvements across Aviation Operations, including processes, systems, people, and infrastructure projects.
  • Manage the consistent delivery of Operations projects, considering customer impact, regulatory requirements, readiness, cost, and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance and risk mitigation, mitigating risks through design, construction, and delivery.
  • Develop and implement construction projects, process, and operational improvement initiatives, supported by appropriate policy and procedures.
  • Fully understand your role in relation to the Airport Emergency Plan (AEP) and Crisis Management Plan (CMP), ensuring training is up to date and capable of enacting responsibilities.
Requirements
  • Aviation background with reasonable Airfield Operations knowledge.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Empathic and considerate approach, commercially astute.
  • Strong learning agility and emotional intelligence.
  • Decisive with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Open to giving and receiving feedback.
  • Ability to influence in a high-pressure environment.
