Strategic Data Governance Role

This pivotal role plays a strategic part in protecting the integrity of our data assets while enabling business innovation. As Data Governance Manager, you will work cross-functionally with teams to establish best practices in data quality, metadata management, compliance, and usage.

The Opportunity

As Data Governance Manager, you will play a key role in delivering sustainable growth for the organization. You will be responsible for defining, implementing, and overseeing the data governance framework, ensuring that data across the business is accurate, secure, and compliant with privacy regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide data governance strategy, policies, and standards.
  • Establish data stewardship roles and responsibilities across business units.
  • Lead the creation and enforcement of data classification frameworks to control sensitive data access.
  • Ensure alignment with GDPR, CCPA, OAIC, and privacy regulations.
  • Define and monitor KPIs for data quality (accuracy, completeness, timeliness, consistency).
  • Introduce automated data validation and cleansing processes to maintain accuracy in large-scale datasets.
  • Champion a data-driven culture by educating teams on data governance principles and best practices.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with data handling, storage, and usage.
About the Role

As Data Governance Manager, you will work closely with content, marketing, sales, product, and technology teams to drive best practices in data quality, metadata management, compliance, and usage.
