Job Role: Our organization is seeking a seasoned privacy expert to provide high-level support for data protection and information governance initiatives.

This senior role will require the selected candidate to possess in-depth knowledge of the Australian Privacy Act, exceptional negotiation skills, and outstanding stakeholder management abilities.

  • Deliver authoritative legal counsel on data security and compliance matters
  • Facilitate understanding and adherence to Australian data protection laws, with a focus on the Privacy Act
  • Develop, negotiate, and assess commercial agreements that include data confidentiality clauses, as well as create data handling policies, consent forms, and compliance documentation

Key Qualifications: More than 5 years of post-qualification experience, with a preference for those who have gained expertise in a legal consulting setting. Demonstrated proficiency in drafting and negotiating comprehensive data protection and data processing agreements.

Excellent interpersonal skills are required to excel in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment while effectively communicating complex information. Full working rights in Australia and full qualification to practice law within the country are essential.
