Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Broadcast Coordinator to join our team.

This is a contract part-time role based in Adelaide, working 30.4 hours per week.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and supporting emergency broadcasting coverage across South Australia and Northern Territory, as well as Australia-wide as required.

Key responsibilities include presenting emergency warnings and related content live to air across radio, posting emergency content to social media, assisting in the creation of sitreps and coverage plans for emergency events, and providing training to content makers in emergency procedures.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience broadcasting live to air radio under pressure, with previous exposure to emergency broadcasting being preferred.

They will also possess strong leadership, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills, as well as experience in planning, gathering and producing content and posting on multiple platforms.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience broadcasting live to air radio under pressure
  • Previous exposure to emergency broadcasting (preferred)
  • Strong leadership, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in planning, gathering and producing content and posting on multiple platforms
