About You
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of others. You will be a strong communicator, able to build rapport with young people and their families, and possess excellent interpersonal skills. Your ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and provide a safe and supportive environment for our clients is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a range of services to young people, including personal care, domestic activities, social and community participation, and skill development activities.
- Assist young people in developing life skills, such as cooking healthy meals and making good life choices.
- Encourage and teach improved health and hygiene practices.
- Work with young people who display complex behaviors and provide individualized support to meet their needs.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including social workers, psychologists, and medical professionals, to ensure comprehensive care and support.
Requirements
- Minimum Certificate 4 in a recognized area, with a willingness to continue education and training.
- Current drivers license and ability to travel to various locations.
- Police clearance and Blue Card (no card, no start policy applies).
- NDIS Workers Screening Check/Yellow Card (current, no card, no start policy applies).
- Completed Hope and Healing Framework Foundation Training (provided by Wellways if needed).
- Current First Aid certification.
