Lead Mental Health Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled mental health professional to join our team as a Lead Mental Health Consultant. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care and support to women with mental health problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide consultation-liaison services to women with mental health problems who are inpatients or outpatients of the Women's Hospital.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to provide advice, consultation, and support to assist in the care of women with mental health problems.

The ideal candidate will be a registered medical practitioner with at least 18 months experience working as a junior doctor in a public teaching hospital. You will bring with you excellent interpersonal skills, ability to de-escalate patients and contain staff anxieties around challenging patients.

Requirements:
  • Registered as a Medical Practitioner with the relevant regulatory agency.
  • At least 18 months experience working as a junior doctor in a public teaching hospital.
  • Preferably have worked in an emergency setting.
