Automotive Technician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician to join our team in Melbourne. As an Automotive Technician at our organization, you will be responsible for conducting repairs and preventive maintenance of ground support equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize technical skills and experience as a tradesman to conduct repairs and preventive maintenance of ground support equipment.
  • Report daily to the Shift Supervisor however will ultimately be under the management of the State Service Manager.
  • Conduct preventive servicing, data collecting as well as repair, and maintenance tasks that reflect a trade standard.
  • Promote a safety-first approach.
  • Collaborate with fabricators, technicians, and assistants to develop and implement effective solutions.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Mechanic Trade Qualification.
  • Have your own tools.
  • Exposure to diesel engines, hydraulic systems and electrical fault finding is highly regarded.
  • Hold a current and valid Driver's License.
  • A strong focus on safety standards and relevant company policies & procedures.
  • Experience working within procedural guidelines.
  • Good communication skills and proactiveness.
  • A positive attitude and proactive mindset, with the ability to work autonomously as well as being a good team player.
