About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic individual to fill the position of Cafeteria Support Assistant. As a Cafeteria Support Assistant, you will be responsible for providing essential support to teachers, assisting with the planning of student routines, facilitating communication between teachers and parents, and coordinating routine matters related to students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily support to teachers in managing student routines
  • Foster effective communication between teachers and parents through regular updates
  • Support teachers in addressing immediate behavioral concerns in accordance with school policy and procedure
  • Assist with basic physical care and wellbeing needs of students including toileting, meals, and lifting
  • Communicate with students to enhance their understanding of tasks and information
  • Supervise small groups of students in a classroom setting while ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Collaborate with teachers to coordinate educational programs and activities independently or under minimal supervision
