Job Title: Animal Compliance Officer

We are seeking a qualified professional to assume the role of Animal Compliance Officer within our organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring animal welfare and safety through regular inspections of licenses and compliance relating to the allowable number of animals on properties.

This involves conducting annual inspections of license and approval holders to ensure compliance with State legislation, Local Laws, and conditions of an approval.

Additionally, the Animal Compliance Officer will conduct approved and gazetted systematic inspection programs to ensure compliance with relevant legislation relating to domestic animal keeping.

The officer will create specific approval conditions relating to the prescribed activities being undertaken on a property, gather clear evidence, and undertake enforcement action when necessary.

  • Duties:

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Investigations and/or Animal Management is highly regarded.

  • Commitment to Risk Management and Workplace Health and Safety.
