This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leading role in the development of maritime facilities and infrastructure projects across various industries.

As a Senior Coastal Engineer, you will play a key part in delivering large-scale projects from concept design to construction phase support. Your technical expertise will be essential in evaluating and reporting on ports, harbours, coastal works and marine structures.

The successful candidate will have experience working with local governments, port clients, and defence sector stakeholders. You will also need to possess skills in providing guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff, as well as project management and/or design management experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and report on ports, harbours, coastal works and marine structures
  • Deliver projects from concept design to construction phase support
  • Work with local governments, port clients and defence sector stakeholders
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior staff
  • Project manage and/or design manage small maritime projects

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to possess:

  • Chartered Professional Engineer (or ability to get chartership within agreed timeframe)
  • Tertiary degree qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Eligibility for Australian Government security clearance
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
