Business Intelligence Analyst: Turning Data into Insights

We are seeking a seasoned expert to join our organisation as a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst. As a key player in shaping how data informs strategy, you will be responsible for driving real business decisions with actionable insights.

This is an exciting role for someone who can think strategically, understand complex business challenges, and create analytics solutions that empower the business to make better decisions.

The ideal candidate will have experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik, and possess excellent SQL skills, with a proven ability to troubleshoot queries, identify data gaps, and improve query performance.

You will be accountable for delivering high-impact reporting solutions, managing ad hoc requests, and ensuring data quality and reliability across the organisation.

The role also requires strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analysis into business-friendly language that drives results.

  • Deliver Actionable Insights: Translate complex data into clear findings that inform strategic business decisions.
  • Build High-Impact Reporting Solutions: Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports that focus on key metrics, driving business outcomes.
  • Manage Ad Hoc Requests: Handle day-to-day data and reporting needs from multiple business units with speed and accuracy.
  • SQL Development and Troubleshooting: Write, optimise, and debug SQL queries to extract and validate data, identifying gaps and resolving issues.
  • Partner with the Business: Engage with stakeholders across departments to understand priorities and deliver analytics solutions that address real business needs.
  • Ensure Data Quality and Reliability: Validate data sources and maintain accuracy in all reports and dashboards.
  • Tell the Story with Data: Present insights through compelling visualisations and narratives that are easy to understand for non-technical audiences.
  • Shape BI Best Practices: Contribute to the company's data-driven culture by identifying opportunities to enhance reporting and analytics processes.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Data Science, IT, or a related field, and 5+ years' experience in business intelligence, insights, or analytics.
