Job Title: Youth Support Worker

Our Organisation is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Youth Support Worker. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality support to young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Empowering Young People - Providing opportunities for young people to make positive and informed life choices.
  • Daily Routines - Assisting with domestic tasks, shopping, cleaning, meal prep, and administering medication.
  • Communication - Engaging and communicating effectively with young people in your care.
  • Behaviour Support Plans - Implementing behaviour support plans and writing detailed daily shift notes.
  • Maintenance of Policies - Maintaining organisational policies, including Occupational Health and Safety.
Requirements:
  • Flexible Work Arrangements - Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Personal Qualities - Tolerant, patient, organised, reliable, and punctual.
  • Integrity - Able to act with integrity in times of stress.
  • Youth Focused - Commitment to young people and understanding factors affecting their lives.
  • Policy Compliance - Able to follow policies and procedures.
  • Availability - Ability to work a minimum of 24 hours per week.
  • Travel - Willingness to travel to regional locations.
  • Teamwork - Desire to collaborate with clients for the best outcomes.
Qualifications:
  • Driver's Licence - Full NSW Driver's Licence and a Car.
  • Comprehensive Insurance - Comprehensive or Third Party car insurance.
  • Working with Children's Check - Current Working with Children's Check.
  • Experience - 6 months of paid and recent experience as a Youth Support Worker in a residential setting.
  • First Aid - Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
  • Diploma - Diploma of Community Services.
  • COVID-19 Vaccinations - Medicare Evidence of 2 COVID-19 Vaccinations.
  • Availability - Current availability to work.
