At Scaffolding, we're seeking an exceptional individual to fill the role of Structural Erection Specialist. As a vital member of our team, you'll play a key part in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of complex access solutions.

Our ideal candidate will possess a strong background in scaffolding and a proven track record of working at heights. A High Risk Basic Scaffold Licence (SB) is essential, along with Working at Heights and Confined Space qualifications. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is crucial, as well as excellent communication skills and a self-motivated attitude.

The successful applicant will be responsible for determining job requirements and planning/configuring scaffolding. This includes erecting lifting tackles by attaching pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures, installing cables, and attaching counterweights. Other tasks may include fitting and bolting tubes, support braces, and components; lifting and positioning sections of scaffolding; and dismantling and removing scaffolding upon completion.

Key responsibilities also include:

  • Fixing mesh and reinforcing steel into position in formwork for concrete pours
  • Setting up winches and rigging equipment to raise and position girders, plates, columns, and other steel units
  • Erecting guard rails, guy wires, ropes, and clears; laying planks and hanging safety nets
  • Identifying hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair to ensure compliance with agreed codes, law, working practices, and health and safety

To be considered for this challenging role, please ensure you have:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in the same field
  • High Risk Basic Scaffold Licence (SB)
  • Working at Heights qualification within the next 2 years
  • Confined Space qualification within the next 2 years
  • Construction Card
