Unlock a dynamic career as an Emergency Department Specialist.

This 6-month placement, based in Melbourne, will see you working under the guidance of senior doctors to assess and treat emergency department presentations.

You'll be part of a close-knit team and report directly to the Clinical Director and Medical Team Leader on shift.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Independently assessing and managing multiple patients under supervision
  • Effectively prioritizing tasks for multiple patients

To excel in this role, you'll need to possess excellent communication skills and be able to lead by example, inspiring junior staff through your professionalism.

Additionally, you'll be expected to:

  • Take ownership of self-directed learning and contribute to departmental teaching to enhance clinical knowledge and skills
  • Actively teach junior staff key clinical skills

Requirements include:

  • General registration with APHRA
  • Current ACLS/APLS certification
  • TS3/4 trainee status with ACEM
