Job Opportunity:

The position of Operational Technology & Engineering Manager involves leading the Observing Systems and Operations Program.

This key leadership role requires providing specialist advice, direction, and guidance on observing infrastructure architecture and equipment.

The successful applicant will manage a diverse team responsible for developing and designing engineering and technological solutions, incorporating level three support, across various technologies.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for establishing capability, strategy, and methods for providing required observations for Bureau services.

You will work closely with related teams in Infrastructure Development and National Operations of the Observing Systems and Operations Program, as well as other business areas.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in engineering planning and delivery, advanced stakeholder management capabilities, high-level management skills, and the ability to distil significant issues from complex material.

The main responsibilities of this role include managing the team, developing solutions, engaging with industry stakeholders, and improving the observations infrastructure.

Strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and excellent communication abilities are essential for success in this position.
