Job Title: Environment Manager

This established consultancy delivers innovative, practical and sustainable environmental solutions across a range of industries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team ensuring delivery of high-quality work on time and within budget.
  • Drive business development by identifying new opportunities preparing tenders and maintaining industry networks.
  • Oversee project performance and client accounts to ensure profitability and long-term sustainability.
  • Coordinate and complete complex environmental assessments, field surveys and detailed reports.
  • Negotiate with clients to refine project scope, budgets and timelines ensuring alignment with objectives.
  • Provide strategic technical input into large-scale and complex projects.
  • Mentor, coach and develop team members to enhance capability and performance.
  • Represent the consultancy at conferences, seminars and networking events.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant legislation, internal quality systems and safety procedures.
  • Develop and implement business plans in collaboration with senior leadership.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or related discipline.
  • Around 10 years' industry experience including proven leadership in a senior role.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams, including recruitment, performance management and career development.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of managing budgets, project profitability and business growth.
  • High-level knowledge of environmental processes, standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven business development skills and experience preparing tenders and winning new work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report preparation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and strategic decision-making abilities.
  • Membership or eligibility for membership of a relevant professional organisation.
