Overview

This is a rewarding role that requires collaboration with the school community to achieve the goals of students and families. You will work in small class sizes with children who have mild to severe disabilities.

Job Description

">

You will combine your knowledge with that of other professionals as you work as a team with education staff to reach joint goals. Your main focus will be on implementing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), particularly Language Acquisition through Motor Planning (LAMP).

">

The role is non-clinical, with little to no one-on-one therapy. However, you will draw on your clinical skills and knowledge daily and potentially liaise with third-party allied health professionals.

Responsibilities

">

You will rely heavily on AAC, especially LAMP, when working with the school community. You will also collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to achieve the best possible outcomes for students.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology or equivalent
  • Speech Pathology Australia registration
  • A Working With Vulnerable People Check

$90,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience
