About the Position:

This role is responsible for leading the implementation of MTSS frameworks with a focus on behavior intervention and positive behavior supports. This position will collaborate with teachers, admins, school teams, and support staff to analyze student data, implement tiered interventions, and promote a positive school climate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and implementing tiered behavior supports, plans, and intervention programs that address the needs of at-risk students
  • Provide support in classrooms by facilitating lessons, providing feedback for staff, and behavior supports to align early childhood building goals
  • Generate and account for data collection systems to monitor student behaviors, the effectiveness of interventions, and make modifications as needed
  • Supervise students on campus before and after school; monitor students during lunch, recess, passing periods, and other activities; instruct students in an appropriate behavior; discipline students in accordance with established guidelines
  • Participate in Student Support Team meetings, as well as intervention support teams

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Associate's degree in early childhood education, elementary education, child development, or child-related field
  • At least three years' work experience in an Early Childhood Education/Early Elementary setting
  • Experience with Early Childhood Special Education, GSRP, or Head Start programs
  • Experience with restorative practices and trauma-informed approach
  • Competent computer and technology-based skills (Microsoft Office, email, electronic record keeping, student information systems)
  • Demonstrated history of strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, De-Escalation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Associates in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or Child Development
  • Early Childhood Teaching Certificate (ZA or ZS)
  • Certification as an Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), BCaBA (Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst), or BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst)

Working Conditions:

  • This position requires long periods of standing, sitting, and walking
  • The position requires occasional lifting of supplies and movement of classroom furnishings during the course of the school day
  • Work takes place both indoors and outdoors, with some travel to other schools or field trip locations
