The company is currently looking for a specialist to work in the manufacturing sector.

Job Description

As a job change specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, and high-quality production of glass containers. You will work closely with the job change manager and the wider operations team to achieve this goal.

This position involves executing product changeovers, general glassmaking operations, and building your skills to become an expert in the manufacturing of glass containers.

  • Day shift: Monday to Friday (8hr shift)
  • Full training provided through an academy
  • Competitive starting rate from $40 per hour

Key Responsibilities

You will perform all aspects of product changeovers, machine conversions, and general glassmaking operations. This includes:

  • Setup, operate, and maintain equipment related to glass melting and container forming operations
  • Glass melting, heating, and cooling systems
  • Servo and robot-controlled machines
  • Infrared and vision control systems
  • Conduct routine quality checks and initiate corrective actions
  • Perform preparatory works for future changeovers
  • Support daily production and maintenance activities as directed
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need experience in continuous manufacturing or heavy industry. A strong mechanical aptitude and confidence using hand tools and precision instruments are also essential.

A solid problem-solving and analytical skillset is required. Tertiary qualifications in engineering or a related field are highly regarded but not essential.
