We are seeking a skilled Laser Programming Specialist to join our team, where you will be responsible for optimizing sheet metal production using industry-leading software packages. Your expertise in profile cutting and sheet metal manufacturing combined with your knowledge of CAM systems will enable you to direct machine learning algorithms to achieve efficient nesting of parts on raw materials.

In this role, you will work closely with the production team to apply laser cutting parameters to optimize sheet yield and output within tight deadlines. Your keen eye for detail will be essential in reviewing material nests to ensure accuracy and quality. You will also be responsible for interpreting and optimizing customer CAD drawings, utilizing best practices in nesting and tagging methodologies across various equipment.

As a Laser Programming Specialist, you will have the opportunity to expand your skills by configuring and programming industrial automation systems, including loaders that enable unmanned operation. You will also contribute to the selection and procurement of raw materials from trusted suppliers and assist with the management and utilization of offcuts and remnants.

The ideal candidate will possess proven experience in sheet metal manufacturing environments, particularly in operating manufacturing-related software and ERPs. Experience with CAD and CAM systems, such as TRUMPF TruTops Boost, is highly desirable. Additionally, proficiency in operating equipment like press brakes and plasma or watercutting machines is essential.
