Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Geographic Information Systems Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, maintenance and operation of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to deliver effective, efficient and responsive service solutions.

About the Role

This technical role requires the creation and maintenance of GIS databases, ensuring data is accessible, accurately stored and organised to enable effective decision making and support strategic planning and development processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of GIS databases
  • Ensure data is accessible, accurate and well-organised
  • Support strategic planning and development processes
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • Relevant qualifications in a field related to GIS or a related field
  • Proven experience providing support in the implementation of new systems and data improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrated computer literacy with skills in a range of computer programs, including AutoCAD Map 3D and ArcGIS / QGIS
