Internal Review Specialist

Our organization seeks a skilled APS5 Internal Review Officer to work on a 12-month contract role with the possibility of extension.
The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking moderately complex to complex work, guided by legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies, and precedents.
This is a team membership position that requires working collaboratively with others, including team leadership responsibilities requiring setting priorities and allocating work to other team members.
Responsibilities include:
- Engaging with participants to gather information regarding review requests, informing them about decisions, reviews, and the appeals process.
- Conducting evidence-based decision making as prescribed in relevant guidelines and policies.
- Monitoring and managing caseloads to ensure internal reviews are completed within set timeframes.
- Contributing to quality improvement activities to enhance service delivery practice, processes, and systems.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key requirements include a strong understanding of the NDIS Act, rules, Operational Guidelines, and client policies, as well as the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
