Sterilisation Services Attendant Opportunity
About the RoleThis role involves carrying out sterilising operations to ensure timely and efficient supply of equipment, reusable medical devices, medical/surgical consumables and anaesthetic equipment to the hospital.
Responsibilities include contributing to an integrated team approach and culture, undertaking training as required, maintaining required skills and knowledge applicable to the role, reprocessing reusable medical devices in accordance with industry standards, monitoring, reporting and recording any malfunctions of equipment or issues of non-compliance.
About YouCandidates must have completion of a Certificate 3 in Sterilisation Services or equivalent and at least 560 hours satisfactory experience within a sterile supply department. The ideal candidate will be able to interpret complex instructions and procedures, work well as an individual or team member in a multi-disciplinary team environment and demonstrate proven experience in delivering high quality and safe care consistent with health service standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Reprocess reusable medical devices
- Maintain required skills and knowledge
- Monitor and record malfunctions of equipment
The successful applicant will report to a Nurse Manager and be part of a collaborative team.
