Medical Sterilisation Specialist

The role of Medical Sterilisation Specialist is crucial in maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety in a hospital environment.

  • Process, maintain and distribute reusable medical devices required by Operating Theatres and Wards
  • Collect contaminated reusable medical devices from wards and designated departments for delivery to the Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD)
  • Packaging equipment for sterilisation
  • Assist with validation and routine control of decontamination and sterilisation process
  • Transport, store, rotate and handle supplies
  • Monitor decontamination/sterilisation process, check and maintain all reprocessing and sterilisation records

About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Certificate 111 in Sterilisation or similar qualification
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in sterilisation within a hospital setting
  • A strong customer service-orientated mindset
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A methodical approach to work and a high level of attention to detail
  • The ability to comply with quality standards, policy and procedures

Hours

This is a casual role. You will work varied shifts across a 5 day roster, between the hours of 6.30am to 11.00pm. You must be available to work flexibly between these hours.
