Delivering Emergency Mental Health Care

Mental health clinicians play a vital role in providing care to individuals experiencing acute mental health crises. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering emergency mental health consultations, assessments and support services.

To succeed in this role, you will require strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also possess excellent clinical leadership and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on patient advocacy and cost-effective practice.

You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and other clinicians, to provide high-quality care to patients across the district.

About The Role
  • Coordinate and deliver emergency mental health consultations, assessments and support services
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to junior staff members
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including police and ambulance services
Key Skills And Qualifications
  • Degree in Psychology or related field
  • Registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist or Social Worker
  • Experience working in mental health settings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
