About the role

Correctional Officers play positive role in keeping community safe helping offenders find ways to improve their lives. They supervise inmates being held in correction facilities such as prisons court cells across New South Wales.

What will you do?

Correctional Officers work within supportive team environment on 24/7 rotating roster system where no two shifts are the same.

Requirements of the role

Minimum age of years old Current drivers license Australia or New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident Willing to complete Certificate III in Correctional Practise Meet medical standards to be a correctional officer have reasonable level of fitness No visible inappropriate or offensive tattoos Please refer to dress manual for further information on what is deemed prohibited
