Job Title: General Maintenance Operative

As a skilled maintenance professional, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks across our sites in Greater Manchester. Your role will involve ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities by carrying out routine maintenance and repair work.

To succeed in this position, you will need to possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience. You should also have general DIY skills, including building works, plumbing, woodwork, and other relevant areas. Additionally, you should be proficient with hand tools and power tools, such as drills, grinders, and jigsaws.

About The Role:

  • Working hours: 38 hours per week, flexible 4 days a week (7:00am-5:00pm)
  • Full PPE provided

Typical Tasks Include:

  • Mobile Plant works - Replacing blades, wipers, etc
  • Dealing with all PMF issues
  • Sites facilities works - Drilling, signage/netting, plumbing, brickwork, doors/handles, locks, barriers
  • Stores / stock audits
  • General DIY
  • Ad hoc works

Requirements:

  • Mechanical Knowledge/Experience
  • General DIY - Building works, Plumbing, woodwork, etc
  • Good with Hand tools & power tools - drills, grinders, jigsaw
  • Safety Conscious as sole worker on tasks
  • Some formal Qualifications would be ideal - NVQ in Mechanical works/fitting/Joinery
  • Welding would be beneficial, but not essential
  • Self motivated
