Aged Care Manager

As a key member of the aged care management team, you will be responsible for leading the direct care service, ensuring it aligns with the organisation's strategic direction. This includes growth across Australia, delivering high-quality care, servicing new clients, and retaining existing clients in their service locations.
You will work in a highly competitive environment, achieving overall client outcomes, service profitability, and the future development and growth of the aged care directorate. This involves operating an effective and efficient service, planning operational budgets, and resourcing to accommodate a growing business.
You will provide support and direction to a team of direct care staff working remotely in client homes across Gippsland and other parts of Victoria, as well as the rostering and administration team.
This role requires strong leadership skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality services that meet budget, key performance expectations, and statistical and administrative requirements in a timely and smooth functioning manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Developing a direct care strategy, service, and structure aligned to the organisation's overall strategy.
- Managing and supporting effective performance, resulting in achievement of annual program and individual performance targets.
- Undertaking business planning for proposed changes within the area of responsibility and completing funding submissions and reports.
- Establishing and maintaining good working relationships between internal business units, services, groups, and sectors.
- Participating in local, regional, and State-wide networks of strategic relevance.
- Creating a culture of excellence in customer service and effective teamwork.
- Coordinating the collection and collation of data as specified in service agreements and strategy and business plans.
- Meeting internal and external reporting timeframes and requirements.
- Investigating complaints related to the area of responsibility and responding in accordance with the organisation's procedures.
- Medium to high level of computer literacy and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite of programs and the internet.
- Proven ability to undertake data entry, document management, and navigate between databases.
- A current driver's license is essential.
- You will also have or be willing to undergo a Working with Children Check and a Police Check.
