Job Overview

The Clinical Lead plays a pivotal role in supporting, guiding, and educating Clinicians within our virtual healthcare platform. This ensures high-quality patient care through evidence-based practices and protocols; drives continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert support, direction, orientation, and education to Virtual Health Clinicians (Registered Nurses and General Practitioners working across the GP Helpline and Healthdirect/NURSE-ON-CALL helplines).
  • Plan and coordinate services related to specific client groups or patients in the practice setting, as delegated by our Virtual Health Clinical Workforce Lead and Virtual Health Clinical Operations Lead.
  • Act as a role model in providing holistic care to patients or clients in the practice setting.
  • Assist in managing action research projects and participate in quality assurance programs and policy development within the practice setting.
  • Deliver direct and comprehensive nursing care and individual case management to patients or clients within the practice setting; this may include a group with complex nursing care needs in Virtual Health.

Requirements

  • Must be located within Australia.
  • Registered nurse with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the healthcare system and maintains an unrestricted registration as a registered nurse with AHPRA.
  • Demonstrates contemporary knowledge and experience of Healthdirect Virtual Health Services.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders effectively.
  • Commitment to upholding high standards of patient care quality and compliance.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and environments.
  • Demonstrates the ability to be client-focused, responsive, flexible, and committed to delivering quality services.
  • Demonstrates interest in leadership roles, with an understanding of team management principles.
