Leadership Role in Healthcare Management

As a key member of the healthcare team, you will play a pivotal role in providing leadership and management of nursing staff, patient flow, and hospital operations during off-peak periods.

The Key Responsibilities of this Role
  1. Supervise and support nursing staff to deliver safe and quality care that meets current best practice standards.
  2. Liaise with nurse unit managers and team leaders to ensure all areas are staffed appropriately and cost-efficiently.
  3. Coordinate patient flow, including admissions, liaising with visiting medical officers, emergency departments, and paramedics.
  4. Oversee the safety of patients and hospital staff, taking lead in emergency codes and situations.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with 8+ years' experience and current AHPRA registration.
  • Recent after-hours coordinator or nurse unit manager experience is highly regarded, as is critical care experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • People leadership skills, including mentorship and coaching of team members.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating and allocating staff.
  • Strong skills in critical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
