Job Overview

A project-based opportunity exists within a high-impact environment for an Industrial Relations professional. As a key partner, contribute to delivering a next-generation payroll system that meets current obligations and is resilient to future changes in industrial regulations.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Utilize substantial expertise in Industrial Relations to interpret complex Enterprise Agreements and drive effective remediation processes.
  2. Collaborate with Legal teams to clarify compliance requirements, coordinate with Project Managers, and engage with IT professionals to translate IR needs into technical solutions.
  3. Design comprehensive testing regimes and robust review processes to ensure the payroll platform meets current obligations and is resilient to future changes in industrial regulations.
  4. Identify gaps, propose enhancements, and document outcomes to contribute to the integrity and success of the new system.
  5. Provide commitment to best practice, compliance, and continuous improvement to position yourself as a trusted partner and key contributor.

Requirements
  1. Considerable experience in industrial/employee relations, including specialist expertise in employment law.
  2. Hands-on experience with payroll, a detailed understanding of legislative frameworks, and a proven track record of implementing compliance measures within large organisations.
  3. Experience engaging Unions and strong understanding of union priorities and practices.
  4. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present findings, explain regulatory considerations, and facilitate training.
  5. Tertiary qualified in Employee/Industrial Relations/Human Resources/Law or related discipline.
