We are seeking an experienced leader to join our team as an Executive Director.

Job Description

The successful candidate will oversee the delivery of the Default Market Offer (DMO) each year, as well as policy and regulatory initiatives that support energy consumers being better off now and in the future.

This is a challenging role that requires strong leadership skills, expertise in retail pricing, policy and regulation, and the ability to represent the organisation and influence stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading teams and managing complex projects, with a deep understanding of the Australian energy market and its challenges.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to make a meaningful contribution to the success of our organisation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience leading a team or similar role in a fast-paced and large complex people-centred organisation.
  • Substantial knowledge and demonstrated experience across policy and regulatory change, stakeholder engagement and data interpretation and management.
  • Expert knowledge of Australian energy markets; the role, purpose and objectives of the AER and the complex political and stakeholder environment within which the AER operates.
  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant field(s) or a relevant field.
