Your Role:

  • Design and build scalable, high-performance backend systems
  • Maintain and evolve compiler stacks for low-level quantum controllers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions

You Will Own:

  • The compiler stack by maintaining and evolving the compiler that translates OpenQASM3 + OpenPulse programs into low-level controller instructions
  • The backbone of quantum tech by designing, developing, and optimizing scalable backend services in Python (with opportunities to work in Rust or C++)

You Will Work With:

  • World-class researchers and quantum engineers to bridge research and engineering
  • Real device experiments to validate compiler output and controller behaviors through experimentation on quantum hardware

You Will Deliver:

  • High-efficiency service-to-service communication using modern protocols (gRPC, GraphQL, REST)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of backend software development experience with Python, Rust, C++, or similar
  • Proven experience writing maintainable, testable code in a professional setting
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
